LORDSHIP OF CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the head of our church and we submit ourselves and all our activities in obedience to His will. (Ephesians 1:20-23; Colossians 1:18)
BIBLICAL AUTHORITY
The Bible is God's Word. It reveals God's plan for His people and how to live out that plan, individually and corporately. Our beliefs, practices, prioritities and mission are always to be founded in clear Biblical teachings. (Psalm 119:89; Luke 16:17; II Timothy 3:14-17)
HOLY SPIRIT LED
The Holy Spirit is our ultimate guide and we must surrender our will to His as He teaches, leads and inspires us. (Romans 8:14; Romans 8:26-27)
PRAYER
Prayer is the vehicle through which the Holy Spirit gives us direction and equips us to carry out God's will. Individual and corporate prayer is essential to the conception, planning and execution of all the ministries and activities of this church. (Colossians 4:12; I Thessalonians 5:17; Acts 4:31; James 5:17-18; Matthew 14:23)
COMMUNITY WITHIN THE LOCAL CHURCH
We are not intended to walk the Christian journey alone. Instead, we are intended to live in community with other believers in the context of the local church. One of the many benefits of the local church is genuine fellowship. We must make intentional steps to allow other people to be a part of our lives, giving opportunity for authentic relationship and community. This means walking alongside one another, carrying one another's burdens, spending time with one another, nurturing one another and showing a genuine interest in those who walk in our doors. The members of the church exist to glorify God by working together in love and unity. (Proverbs 27:17; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25)
CONTINUOUS COMMITMENT TO GROWTH
As believers we're not perfect but should always be in pursuit of a life that is pure and righteous. Because we never stop learning and growing, we must respond to every opportunity in order to reach our God given potential. This includes the concepts of personal holiness, financial stewardship, evangelism, discipleship and investing both in others and the success of the local church. Since excellence honors God and inspires people, we are committed to re-evaluating processes, programs and the church's "success", making needed adjustments as necessary. DISCIPLE MAKING
We are committed to follow the great commission. Because of this, we use our available resources to evangelize unbelievers and equip disciples to serve Jesus in our local community and to the ends of the earth. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:6-9)
OUTREACH
The best way to show God's love for us is in service of others. As followers it is essential that we give of ourselves for the purpose of encouraging and meeting the needs of others. This is Christ's love in action. (1 Thessalonians 5:14)
